Are All Translations the Complete Canon of 66 Books?
Some translations are Old Testament, New Testament, or a partial translation as only some of the books are currently available in a complete translation. MyOwnBible therefore only shows the books that are fully translated at this time in languages that have only a partial translation.
Where do the translations come from?
We have a working relationship with First Bible International, The Trinitarian Bible Society, Worldview Ministries, Bibles International and other fundamental Bible translation ministries.
Are the translations considered KJV equivalent?
Every Bible on the MyOwnBible platform has the following characteristics: 1) Masoretic Text Old Testament, 2) Textus Receptus New Testament, 3) Readable and Reliable. Yes, each version used in the app is considered a KJV equivalent in its language because of these principles.
What format can MyOwnBible use for contributed translations?
We have used the following formats: SFM (or USFM) TBSX, and TXT in a markdown format. We cannot use PDF formatted documents. We can use DOC, DOCX, RTF formatted documents, however they should not be formatted for print including containing any formatting or kerning specific to the printed page.
What is the daily devotional
The daily devotional is a short study designed to encourage and lead you into God’s Word. The daily devotion is currently only available in English.
Why can't I access all the devotionals?
To protect the author’s work, we limit the devotionals to the previous 7 days.
Do I need an account to use the app?
No account is needed to use MyOwnBible.
How do I download the Bibles offline?
To download a Bible for offline use, click the cloud icon in the main Bible screen and select the language to download. The app will load the downloaded Bible in and you should see a green banner that says: “Using offline Bible”.
